General Condition at time of purchase:

Hull is solid fiberglass with no wood or foam core to worry about below the waterline.  I am sure the deck is cored with wood as that was a normal method of building.  Engine sounds good with cold start and warms up well.  Transmission shifts and does not jump out of gear.  Hydraulic steering is leaking fluid. Hose for stuffing box on rudder shaft must be replaced as it has twisted.  Packing lock nut on propeller shaft stuffing box is backed off and new stuffing is needed to stop the rapid drip. Manual bilge pump won't work because thru-hull for exhaust is closed and frozen in closed position.  Forward bilge pump is not working. Anti-siphon valve for forward bilge pump is bad and thru-hull is plugged with oysters. Fresh water stinks and is sticky.  Water pump on engine needs replaced.  Toilet seat on forward head needs replaced.  Drain in forward head is plugged.  Suspect oysters.  Found 12 thru-hulls with sea cocks, most won't move and/or are plugged with oysters.  Standing rigging is 5 yrs old from seller.  Aft toilet is electric and it blows fuses. Sails are fair.  Main sheet and blocks need replaced.  Traveler for main sheet is archaic and needs replaced.  Interior teak is in wonderful shape.  Exterior teak trim is in good shape but needs refinished.  Teak deck is rough. Looked at several boats with teak decks and they all looked the same.  LCD displays for wind and speed instruments are weak and hard to read.  Radar is in nearly new shape but dated 1998.  SSB radio works.  VHF radio works.  AC / heating system is fairly new and uses R134A refrigerant.  Works but blows breaker after heater is run for a while.  Needs bottom job.  Engine and transmission seem in good shape and have been replaced since boat was new.  Propeller and shaft were replaced at same time.  Interior lights need converting to LED.  Most have bad connections for bulbs.  Navigation lights are inoperable except for anchor light.  Life raft is out of date.  Not sure what that means yet.  No dingy!  Have not seen the GPS, grill, or wind vane steering yet.  Much work ahead to get seaworthy and trustworthy.
